How it all started?

After completed college, waited to join first Co. I wouldn't say it was very long waiting, but it was a long enough for me to go and search jobs in Bangalore City.

After a good rest I got in to my first job with lots of interest in coding, debugging, Java, C++, techie stuffs etc......

We had the Technical training in the first one month for the Entry level trainees. When they were selectings associates for the different Technical streams (Java, .Net, Mainframe). I was thinking about Java all along, but some how i was obsessed with the Mainframe Technology may be due to its existence even now with other new technologies.

They put me in to the Mainframe Technology tranining. During in the Training I was good in Mainframe Programming(Cobol,JCL,Rexx etc), doing decent job in the Training Classes. In the traning got some theoritical and classrom programming skills in mainframe languages and tools. I was Eagerly waiting to join the project and start reall programming.

The Day came, when some of our traning mates have been allocated in to the one of the Leading Healthcare Account in our Company and we had to meet the Manager on the same day. We all went to see Manager in our First Account and had the meeting with our Manager. My Manager told that by that there are so many Testing Projects are in progress in our Account, so you all start with the Testing Projects first and later point you can probably move to Development Projects.

He left after saying this and everbody in our team got so many questions in their how our future will be, what about our Technical Career, will there be any oppurtunity in testing after we go out from this account or company etc. We were consoling each other about our First Job Assignment and convinced to start our Career in Testing project.

Before a start

I studied about software testing in second year of my Bachelor Degree in college. It was just a another Subject in my College Curriculum. I was not that much passion about software testing, because i was more interested in writing code, debugging them, writing Algorithm etc.

I have scored good marks in this subject in College, may be I could have realized this is really my cup of coffee. Instead always considered this subject as an easy subject to get marks and improve my %. Actually some where in my mind I always attracted to Software Testing discipline, that really made me to do good in that subject.

This is my academic Side before I have started testing software in this Industry.
